The Windshield Shop · Calgary, Alberta

Terms of Use & Service

Effective October 9, 2026

These terms govern use of thewindshieldshop.ca and its online enquiry, quote and appointment tools. The Windshield Shop provides in-shop auto glass repair and replacement, rustproofing, undercoating, paint protection film, ceramic coating and detailing, subject to assessment and availability. Please read the terms that apply to the stage of your request. A final service agreement may also include a written estimate, work order, quote, invoice or warranty document provided by the shop.

1. Using this website

Use the website for lawful, genuine enquiries about your own vehicle or a vehicle you are authorized to discuss. Provide accurate contact and vehicle information, including a correct VIN when requested for glass matching. Do not submit another person’s information without authority, interfere with the site, or attempt to access another customer’s request. Website content is general information and may change; it is not a diagnosis of your vehicle or a guarantee that a particular service is suitable.

2. Enquiries, quotes and appointment requests

Submitting a form requests contact from the shop. It does not reserve an appointment or drop-off day, authorize work, or obligate you to purchase a service. A displayed available day is provisional until the shop confirms it. A quote is based on the vehicle details and scope then known; the shop may need to inspect the vehicle, confirm parts and glass specifications, and discuss any change in scope, price or timing before work begins. A quote applies only for its stated validity period and stated inclusions. Taxes, parts, preparation, calibration or other items are included only if the quote or final agreement says so. Ask for a written estimate if you want one.

When you select a quote or preferred day online, you are asking the shop to arrange that work. The shop will contact you to confirm the booking and any required work authorization. Additional work or charges require your agreement as applicable under Alberta law. Any conflict between these website terms and mandatory consumer protection law is resolved in favour of that law.

3. Glass, chip repair and calibration

Rock chip repair is offered at no charge, by appointment, where the shop determines the damage is repairable. An inspection may find that repair is unsuitable or that replacement is needed. Chip repair may improve stability and appearance, but it may not make damage invisible and cannot guarantee that cracking will not spread. The shop will discuss the appropriate next step before doing replacement work.

Replacement glass is matched to vehicle specifications, which is why a VIN may be required. Vehicles with cameras or driver-assistance features may require calibration or other procedures; the shop will advise on the applicable scope and arrangements. Do not rely on the website to decide whether damaged glass is safe to drive. If visibility or vehicle safety is in doubt, stop driving and obtain appropriate assistance.

4. Other vehicle services

Rustproofing and undercoating are protective treatments; they do not repair existing corrosion or guarantee that rust will never occur. Suitability, preparation and coverage depend on vehicle condition. Paint protection film, ceramic coating and detailing depend on paint or surface condition, selected areas, product and aftercare. The shop will confirm the proposed scope and any service-specific instructions before work. Window tint is provided through S3 Tint, a separate business; its quotes, bookings and terms apply when you leave this website for S3 Tint.

5. Prices, payment, insurance and promotions

Prices and promotions are subject to their stated scope, dates, vehicle eligibility and availability. Any price match is considered for a comparable windshield replacement quote using glass of the same quality and comparable work; the shop must review and confirm it. We do not guarantee insurance coverage or payment by an insurer. You remain responsible for amounts not paid by an insurer, including any applicable deductible, subject to your agreement with the shop and insurer. Payment methods, due dates and any service-specific warranty will be set out in the applicable quote, invoice or other service document; this website does not collect payment card details.

6. Changes, cancellations and delays

Contact the shop promptly if you need to change or cancel a request or confirmed booking. An online cancellation is effective when the system confirms it; for urgent changes, call the shop. Parts supply, vehicle condition, weather, calibration needs and workload can affect timing. A drop-off time is not a guaranteed completion time. The shop will communicate material changes and seek any required approval before additional work or charges.

7. Private quote links and communications

Your request link may show your contact, vehicle, quote and booking information to anyone who has it. Keep it private and avoid sharing it on a public or shared device. We may contact you about your enquiry, quote, appointment and service by phone, email or text using the details you provide. Standard carrier message or data charges may apply. These service messages do not enrol you in marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. External links and website availability

The website may link to independent services, including maps, review pages and S3 Tint. Their content and practices are their responsibility. We try to keep the site accurate and available, but it may contain errors or be interrupted. Contact the shop to verify a material detail before relying on it. Website content, design and branding may not be copied or reused without permission, except as permitted by law.

9. Legal rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a right, remedy, warranty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Alberta or Canadian law. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information you supply, unauthorized use of your private request link, or interruption of third-party networks beyond our reasonable control. Any dispute concerning this website or shop services is governed by the laws of Alberta and applicable federal laws of Canada, and may be brought before a court or other forum with jurisdiction. These terms do not require arbitration or waive a statutory complaint right.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these website terms from time to time; the date above identifies this version. Changes do not retroactively alter a service agreement already made. Questions or concerns? Call 403 478 2224 or visit Bay 6, 1511 Highfield Crescent SE, Calgary, Alberta T2G 5M4.
